Facilities: Full lab facilities, a DR x-ray system, dental x-ray, 64-slice CT scanner, a wide range of flexible and rigid endoscopes, ultrasound scanner with colour Doppler, full orthopaedic kit, slit lamp, tonometer, etc.
Team: Among their Vets are a Specialist in Zoo & Wildlife Medicine, and Advanced Practitioners in Small Animal Medicine and ECC. Plus, they have regular visits from a referral dermatologist. They receive referrals nationally for exotic pets for radioiodine therapy of hyperthyroid cats locally for outpatient CT scanning and for some internal medicine and orthopaedic-surgery cases.
Role: This RCVS-accredited tier 3 Veterinary hospital is growing, so they are looking for an enthusiastic experienced small animal veterinary surgeon with a strong interest in internal medicine to join their fantastic team of 15 Veterinary Surgeons, 14 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 5 Student Registered Nurses, 5 Animal Nursing Assistants in this purpose-built, excellently equipped hospital on the edge of a lovely Cotswold market town.
Duties: The role includes assisting with routine consultations, operations, and diagnostics.
Hours: The full-time rota is 8:30 am -7:00 pm, 4 days a week, with 1 in 5 Saturday shifts from 8:30 am - 2:00 pm, and 1 in >10 on call. However, they know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and they want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you need to do the school pick-up, need reduced hours during school holidays or would simply like a more flexible rota pattern they can fix or flex their patterns to suit your needs
Salary: They are offering a competitive salary of up to £63,000 p/a - dependent on experience
