Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Reading

This is an exciting opportunity for a keen, enthusiastic small animal veterinary surgeon to work in a full-time permanent capacity for a well-equipped veterinary surgery in Reading, Berkshire

The Practice:

Our client prides themselves on offering high-quality vet care at prices affordable to all. Their small practice in Reading is located in the heart of a shopping centre and is easily accessible by 5 different roads. It is spacious and well equipped, including digital x-ray, consult rooms, separate kennels, cattery, prep and theatre, and a modern staff room for staff to relax. They are a 4 vet team that have a super friendly support team of three nurses, one ANA, and 5 Receptionists. They value the well-being of the team and regularly treat the teams with Costas and chocolates after a busy week at the practice.

The Role and Candidate:

This is a permanent full-time role, where you will be working a 40 hour week with weekday shifts of 08:00-16:30 or 11:00-19:30 plus Saturday mornings 08:30-12:00. The exact rota will be discussed at the interview.

They are able to consider new grad candidates but ideally, you will be confident to cover both basic surgeries and consults (mix of both).

Duties: Consults, X-rays, working up cases, blood taking, basic surgeries, good at teamwork. 15 min appts (or more for new grads).

This is a really busy practice with a wide range of cases being seen, you will be joining a friendly team of 4 Vets, 6 Nurses, and 5 Reception staff.

The Package:

In return, our client is offering a competitive salary of £30,000-£36,000 p/a (DOE) and a comprehensive benefits package - which will be discussed in the interview.
