Facilities:They are a small, family feel practice situated in Reading. Reading is a vibrant city, which has the added benefit of being surrounded by beautiful countryside with London and Bristol being only a short train ride away. At the practice, they have all the usual equipment including digital X-ray, dental X-ray ultrasound, endoscopy, inhouse lab, tonometer, and surgivet.
Team:They have an experienced Practice Director who is very supportive along with a Clinical Lead Veterinary Surgeon who is involved in management and 2 experienced Clinical Veterinary Surgeons. They encourage and support further learning and one of the vets are currently working towards a certificate. They also have 4 wonderful Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, and several Client Care Team members. They also work with the local RSPCA and Cats Protection, as well as having plenty of bonded clients from a range of backgrounds, providing a varied caseload.
Role: The practice is looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join the team. You will see a varied day with a nice mix of consultations and surgery.
Hours:
This is a full or part-time position.
Typically, the full-time role is 40 hours a week over 4 or 5 days, the hours will be between 8 am and 7 pm and a 1:4 weekend but we can be flexible for the right person.
There is no OOH.
They advocate work-life balance, and they look after each other.
Their diary management is excellent, for example, some consults are blocked off for same-day release, there are limited vaccines per day, allocated admin time, and protected breaks.
Salary: Up to £60,000 (DOE)
