Role: Permanent Veterinary Surgeon

Practice: This is a first opinion small animal practice, their facility is large and modern with 4 consult rooms; a dedicated x-ray and ultrasound room, and a large modern theatre and prep room. This is a unique opportunity to join a super friendly team in an ideal location that is easily commutable from London.
Team: This practice has a 5 vet team, with 2 registered veterinary nurses supported by a wonderful reception team and dedicated Practice Principal. They very much focus on their team's wellbeing and their lovely Practice Principal frequently provides costa coffee and cakes for staff.
Role:
- The role provides a varied consulting caseload that will allow the less experienced to hone their skills and will keep the experienced vet stimulated.
- Teamwork is key in their team with knowledge sharing on cases encouraged to ensure good patient outcomes.
- They are supported by VetCT teleradiology as well as unlimited VetCT telemedicine support for those trickier cases.
- Surgery is on a rotational basis within the team with an interesting mix of soft tissue surgery, imaging, and dentistry planned for surgical days, this is supported by a long-standing and experienced nursing team. They also have the tools for basic orthopedics available for suitably experienced candidates.
- Time is allocated for admin on a daily basis to allow for calls etc which allows you to concentrate on your patients during consult time without the pressure of needing to squeeze admin in-between.
Hours: You will work a combination of early and late shifts, and they are happy to consider working 40 hours over 4 days with 3 days off. They are willing to consider part-time work for the right candidate.
Weekends/OOHS: Saturdays are on a rotational 1:3 basis. No Sundays and no after hours.

Applicant Requirements:
- Their ideal candidate would be experienced, and RCVS registered.
- Excellent communication skills are required together with strong surgical skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- They require a motivated individual with a focus on delivering exceptional service to clients.
Salary: The salary on offer is competitive between £35,000 - £50,000 p/a (DOE) FTE
