Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Selby

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time, experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and well-established team at a modern practice in Selby, North Yorkshire, on a permanent basis.

The Practice:

Located just south of York, Selby is easily commutable from Leeds and benefits from great transport links. They are just 10 minutes from the M62 and enjoy excellent train and bus services. The practice boasts state of the art equipment and has been awarded both Silver Cat Friendly status and Rabbit Friendly status. You will be joining a small, friendly team of 1 other Vet, 3 Nurses, 2 Receptionists, and a Practice Manager. They pride themselves on excellent patient and customer care, as well as being great team-players, which they believe is crucial to a successful happy working environment. They also actively support local charities and any animal-related community events.

The Role and Candidate:

You will work full time (40 hours) over 4 weekdays with one in 3 Saturdays on a rota basis but no OOH. As a first opinion practice, you will need excellent surgical and medical skills and there will be occasional sole charge. They want their Vets to have a real input in the practice to help them be at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst maintaining their ethos of putting pets first. If you’re keen to grow and develop, they want to support this and can offer a very generous CPD budget. Funding of a certificate is a real possibility for the right candidate.
