Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Southampton

Role: They are looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon with an interest in surgery to join their first opinion surgery.

Location: Southampton

Practice: A close-knit friendly team working out of a single site practice on the outskirts of Southampton

Team: They have 6 vets at the surgery ranging in experience from a first-year graduate to vets with 20+ years experience. They have three student nurses and the surgery enjoys teaching and sharing new ideas.

Facilities: They have digital radiography, ultrasonography, in-house laboratory machines from Idexx, capnography, and an E.C.G machine. 

Hours: The position is available for a full-time member of staff of 40 hours a week, but they would consider a part-time worker or job share.

Weekend: Approximately one in four Saturday Morning surgeries as sole charge

OOHs: No OOH as the surgery is covered by Vets Now.

Sole Charge: Yes some 

Branch Work: None - single site practice

Applicant Requirements:

• They would like a Vet Surgeon to fit seamlessly into a busy, friendly team that has a good sense of humour and an excellent work ethic.
• Some UK experience is desirable.
• They encourage and support new ideas and CPD.
• You will need to be self-motivated with an interest in all aspects of the job and the willingness to support and teach new Graduates surgery skills.

Salary: Competitive - dependent on skills and experience
