- This is a group of two small animal practices that have been serving the veterinary needs of companion animals in Stafford and surrounding areas for over three decades.
- Their premises are accredited by the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme in Core Standards and Tier 2 Small Animal General Practice.
- Their premises are light, spacious, and have recently been renovated, one site has two theatres, which are linked by glass, and they have all the necessary equipment such as digital X-ray, in-house blood machines, ultrasound, and dental radiography.
Team: The team comprises 6 experienced Veterinary Surgeons, a dedicated nurse, and front of house team. They are associated with Shires Vets, which enables them to offer a wide range of facilities and services across their group. Although there is no need to work at the Shires site, they hold regular vet meetings between both sites, share CPD events, and support specific caseloads between the two groups

Duties: Your day-to-day role would consist of 1 day of surgery, 1 day of consultations, and 2 days of a mixture of both. They are open to tailoring the frequency of surgery with your role to match your preference if you have a surgical or consultation bias.
Hours: 40 hours per week, over 4 days with a set day off, 1:3 Saturday mornings, and no OOH.
Candidate:
- The ideal candidate for this role would be a surgeon who feels comfortable with all primary care duties, but they may be able to support a surgeon with more advanced procedures if they are comfortable with all routine primary care duties.

Salary: They are offering a competitive salary of up to £65,000 p/a (DOE)
