They have a great reputation and clientele base after being in the area for over 30 years. They are a well-equipped practice with wonderful support staff and lovely clients.

Facilities:

  • 15min appointment times
  • Variety of surgical and medical cases
  • Full idexx lab equipment
  • Digital x-ray, new ultrasound machine, multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring equipment, newly installed oxygen generator

Services: They try to treat patients like they are their own. They encourage positive reinforcement with treats and gentle handling. They provide thorough clinical examinations and workups, giving each patient the time and care they deserve. They encourage any new team member to meet these standards.

Role: They are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their growing team! They are looking for a Vet with at least 2 years’ experience to join their busy, independent practices. Their client relationships are of high importance in the clinic, with an individual approach to each client and pet. They strive to provide clinical thoroughness and implement current, scientific-based methods.

Hours: The role is a 4-day working week with 1-in-2/1-in-3 Saturday mornings. The shifts would vary between 10.30 am-7 pm, 9 am-4.30 pm with the occasional sole charge day 9 am-7 pm. There is no OOH with an excellent rota with full respect for work-life balance

Duties: They see a wide range of first opinion cases and have a balance of surgery and consults throughout the week. The senior vets are always available for support or advice and can offer mentorship to a new candidate. 

Essential Experience Required:

  • Small animal medical and routine surgical experience
  • Experience with face to face consultations
  • At least 2 years in clinical practice

Desirable Experience:

  • Awareness of the operational aspects of the practice that affect practice profitability
  • Having had some sole charge of responsibility
  • Personal Skills & Qualities:
  • Self-aware, positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Effective communication skills within the team and with clients
  • Ability to work as a strong contributor to a team

Salary: Commensurate with experience
