Permanent Veterinary Surgeon, Thornton Cleveleys

We are currently working on behalf of an independent practice in Thornton Cleveleys, that is looking for a Vet to join their team. 

The Practice:

Situated in a lovely part of North Lancashire, 400 yards from the beach and a stone's throw from the mountains in the Lake District, the practice strives to provide the best possible surgical, medical and diagnostic services for your pets. 

They are a true family business with good family values and a 'team working' approach. 

The practice is an RCVS approved practice and is also a training practice for Veterinary Nurses. 

Their highly qualified team of 5 Vets uses a variety of diagnostic techniques to establish a problem. 

Facilities include X-ray, ultrasound, and endoscopy. The practice is also an orthopaedics referral centre.

The Role:

This is a full-time position, where you will be joining a team of 23 staff, including 5 Vets, 5 experienced RVNs, 1 student Nurse, 1 ANA, and a dedicated support team. 

The role is to work 4.5 days per week, either 8.30-17.00, 9.00-18.00, 11.00-19.15, or 8.30-13.30.

Weekends are 1:3 Saturday 8.30-13.00 with no on-call. 


To qualify for this role you must be confident in all basic surgery and consults including cat and dog spay castrates, and lump removals. The practice is highly supportive so will always encourage interest and certificates.
