Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Wakefield

Location: Approx. 10 miles from Wakefield in West Yorkshire

Practice Type: This is a group practice that has excellent transport links with the cities of Leeds and York just a short journey away and road and rail links to London and Edinburgh nearby. There’s beautiful countryside all around with plenty of parks and opportunities for walks nearby.

Team: You’ll be working alongside two other full-time vets including a soon-to-be surgical certificate holder, a team of five registered veterinary nurses, and five support staff.

Role: They are looking for a vibrant, enthusiastic team member, to join their experienced practice!!

Hours: The position is based on a 40hr week although they would be delighted to discuss shorter or part-time hours for the right candidate. Shift patterns can be discussed but they’ll always include one weekday off, a shared 1 in 3 Saturdays, and no out of hours.

Duties: They can tailor the role to a new or recent graduate looking for support with their cases and career progression

Support: They believe in supporting colleague’s development by sponsoring CPD and providing access to post-graduate certification as well as training the next generation of Veterinary Nurses and providing access to the Advanced Diploma for their current team.

Package: They’re more than happy to discuss salary expectations – their bracket is £33,000 - £60,000. They’re also happy to discuss a relocation package should they need to provide support for a candidate moving to a new community.
