Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Wakefield

Practice: Part of a group

Team: The current team has 1 Full-Time Veterinary Surgeon (they are growing this to a team size of 3!) and you would be fully supported by an experienced nursing and support team: including 4 RVNs and a fantastic front-of-house team. They are proud of the close-knit working relationship within their team, and their positive outlook on working together whilst also always striving to work at the highest standards of care possible.

Role:They are a well-established, busy, and progressive surgery in Wakefield are looking for a team-focused, forward-thinking veterinary surgeon to join them on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to work alongside an experienced practice owner and veterinary surgeon and to learn the skills required to become a practice owner yourself if desired. 

Hours:

  • This position can be fully flexible hours, full or part-time, with no out-of-hours or late nights.

  • Ideally, you’ll work some Saturday mornings on a fair rota basis, shared with the rest of the team, but they’re open to suggestions.

Applicant Requirements:They are generous with their CPD offering, which colleagues are actively encouraged and supported to use to further their interests and develop their skills in a direction of their choosing. So, if you want to pursue a postgraduate qualification or certificate, they’re happy to help support that. So, whether it’s a certification you’re interested in or becoming a practice partner one day, this role offers it all!

Support:With a brilliant local reputation (4.5-star Google rating) and a practice nomination for this year’s Petplan Awards, their team has much to be proud of. Their Partner in the practice for 21 years, is looking for an experienced vet to join him and take the practice to the next level. He’s keen to find someone with an interest in cardiology or ultrasound but is happy to support any skillset that dovetails with his own surgery skills. 

The Package:
