Location: Sunderland
Practice Type: They are an independent busy first opinion practice, that appreciates and values its employees.
Branch work: Based at one site (so no traveling from branch to branch), allowing for client continuity.
Facilities: They have - Digital imaging facilities (including dental X ray), ultrasound, endoscope, laparoscopic surgery, diathermy, ECG & BP Monitoring, dental equipment, tonometry, in-house Idexx lab suite.
Team: You will be joining their current team of 1.5 vets, 4 RVNs, 2 SVNs, and 4 support staff
Role: Due to expansion they require additional Full and Part-Time Veterinary Surgeons to join them on a permanent basis
Sole Charge: Currently some sole charge, however diary, and workload are altered accordingly to reflect this.
Hours: They are truly flexible on the hours
Full-time - 4 days a week (34hrs, either 4 x 8.5hr days or a mix of 2 x 10hr & 2 x 7hr days, inc paid designated breaks and admin time)
Part-time - 2 to 3 days a week (half or full, or a mix of both)
Flexible working - to allow for a good work/life balance, and family commitments, if preferred you can alternate the number of days/hours you work week on week!!
Weekends: Some Saturday mornings (8.30 am till 12 noon) on a rota basis (consults only - currently 1:3, but will decrease as more vets are recruited).
Out of hours: No OOH. No On-Call. No Bank Holiday Working
Duties:
Single Site - no traveling from branch to branch allowing for client/case continuity.
One to One support in surgery (if required - with a minimum of two operating days a week for FT working)
Opportunity to undertake Laparoscopic surgery
Opportunity to pursue areas of interest (as they will support & fund relevant certificates)
Opportunity to progress into a more senior role if desired (and/or develop the team and practice in a particular is of interest)
Skills/Exp: Develop your skills, enjoy the clinical flexibility of independent practice, manage and follow through with your own caseload & maintain client continuity, whilst being part of a great close-knit team. They have qualified support staff, an Animana practice management system, and great clients. They would also welcome any candidates looking for a more senior role too.
Salary: Competitive salary of between £45,000 - £60,000 p/a (DOE) FTE
