Permanent Weekend Emergency Veterinary Surgeon - Leeds

We are working with a practice based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, that is looking to recruit a small animal Veterinary Surgeon on a part-time basis. This is a part-time permanent role where you will be working weekends on either a 1 in 4 or 1 in 2 basis.

The Practice:

This is a modern and progressive veterinary practice, now in its 6th year of opening. The bright, air-conditioned surgery is purpose-built to industry-leading standards and has state-of-the-art equipment including a dedicated operating theatre, digital X-ray/in-house laboratory/ultrasound facilities.

They are a lovely, friendly team with great communication, management, clinical support and they work to a gold standard. They also offer a good work-life balance. They are proud of their purpose-built dental suite and ISFM Gold Standard clinic and cattery. They also provide OOH service for eleven of the group practices in the region (ECC, in-patient care, and referral work standard.

The Role and Candidate:

This is a permanent part-time role where you will be working 1 in 4 or 1 in 2 Weekends, the hours are 10:00-20:30 Saturday and Sunday. You will be joining a dedicated OOH Emergency Support Team so there will be no sole charge required.

This role would be a great additional monthly shift to any locum vet or vet working elsewhere who wants to increase their monthly ECC caseload/experience. This hospital practice provides OOH Emergency support to 13 practices over weekends, and needs additional vets to help run the clinic, consult, cover in-patient care, emergencies, and ward rounds in the hospital.
