Our client is seeking a motivated Veterinary Surgeon, ideally with a Surgical Certificate (or currently pursuing one), who excels in communication and teamwork. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team of 13 Vets. This exciting role is primarily based at the main hospital in Swindon but also includes rotations through consulting-only branches.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Beyond clinical responsibilities, there are numerous opportunities to explore passions—whether by participating in the Green Team, mentoring recent graduates, or helping to organise vibrant social events.

Hours:

  • 40 hours a week, 4-day week with a 1 in 8 weekends (with 2 days in lieu the following week).

  • Minimal on-call as the ECC team is on site.

Key Requirements:

  • Veterinary Degree Registrable in the UK, enabling full MRCVS status

  • Excellent communication skills

  • A can-do attitude, determination, and positivity

  • Strong team ethos

  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

Salary: Up to £65,000 p/a reflective of skills and experience

More About the Practice:

The practice is well-equipped and dedicated to the fantastic primary care team. It is set within a large hospital that also houses a multi-disciplinary referral team. The practice provides 24-hour emergency services and routine primary care for small animals. It works separately – albeit closely - with the referral and ECC department. The practice is part of a group that is committed to supporting the physical and mental health of all its associates, with an amazing team of Mental Health First Aiders (MHFA) and a confidential Employee Assistance Program available for everyone.
