​Two Permanent Veterinary Surgeons are needed for a practice in Beccles, Suffolk

Type: Small Animal

Location: Beccles, Suffolk

Practice Type: They are fiercely independent and look to remain so indefinitely by continuing to show that each of our clients and their animals are all important to them. Consistency within the team gives clients the confidence that their concerns are listened to and that the animals are individually known and can be treated as such.

Facilities: As a multi-award-winning Independent Practice, they have enjoyed sustained growth over the last several years. The Practice almost reaching its full capacity with clients as well as its team. The turnover of Team Members is extremely low, showing how content and dedicated the team is here. Recruitment is needed due to the expansion of the Practice and the development of two further consulting rooms. The Practice is well equipped with a comprehensive internal lab, digital direct X-ray, dental X-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound, K-laser, and dedicated cat ward.

Team: The wonderful day team consists of 7 experienced vets, 8 RVNs, 2 SVNs and 3 ACAs. They are an inclusive and friendly team with a strong ethos of looking after and supporting each other.

Role: Due to an exciting expansion they are seeking versatile clinicians who enjoy both consulting and operating - NEW GRADS are also welcomed!

Hours:

  • The full-time vets work a 3-4-day week, although are they happy to discuss part-time and flexible working to find the right fit for you and the Practice.

  • 15-minute consults with lots of space in the diary for admin, work-ups, and phone calls

  • They have an OOH team until 22:00 consisting of on-call vets and on-site RVNs, triaging phone calls, and inpatient care. On-call operates on a 1:4/5 basis.

  • Shared Saturday morning rota (1:4-1:5, 08.30-12.30)

  • An opportunity to work weekend days until 18:00 and weeknights until 22:00 paid as overtime.

Support: New graduates welcomed and supported – they are registered advisors with the RCVS and have Approved Graduate Development Practice status.

Skills/Exp: This new opportunity has arisen for motivated Veterinary Surgeons to join this rapidly expanding, small animal practice in Suffolk.

Sole Charge: TBC

Salary: The basic salary start is £40,000 for a New Grad to £55,000 for a qualified Vet
