We are currently recruiting on behalf of an independent veterinary practice based in Herefordshire who requires a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team.
The Client:
Our client is based in a picturesque area in Herefordshire. The clinic, established in spacious premises in 1995, is a continuation of a surgery that has been serving local clients and the surrounding area since at least the first half of the last century. The practice provides a friendly and compassionate service and have recently refurbished and can offer modern facilities and surroundings, including in-house lab, separate dog and cat wars, endoscopes, ultrasound scanners, gold standard anaesthetics, stables, lambing room, isolation wards and much more.
As well as being a fully equipped veterinary surgery, they also have a hydrotherapy referral centre on site too; this centre serves the practice's patients and also takes referrals from other veterinary practices in the surrounding area. The clinic is operated by qualified veterinary nurses with further qualifications in hydrotherapy. The hydrotherapy centre can offer a heated swimming pool, a water walker treadmill and hot spa to rehabilitate conditions such as fracture repair, cruciate rupture, hip/elbow dysplasia, osteoarthritis, spinal problems, weight loss, soft tissue repair and orthopaedic problems.
The Role:
This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week and will include 1:5 weekends Saturdays 8 am-1 pm and 1 on-call duty per week.
The weekday shifts would be 8 am - 1 pm, 10:30 am - 7 pm, 8:30 am - 5 pm, 9:30 am - 6 pm.
You would need to live within 30 mins or so of the practice for the on-call and weekends.
Nurse clinics - include post-op checks, suture removals, weight clinics, youth and senior clinics, to name just a few. They have also recently added laser therapy to their nurse-led clinics.

£9.93 p/h- less than a year qualified
£10.46 p/h- 1 year+
£10.99 p/h- 3 years+
After this, the rate will raise in line with experience.
