We are currently recruiting on behalf of a small and friendly veterinary practice with two surgeries in Middlesex. They are looking for a full-time permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team of 7 nurses.
The Practice:
The practice is independent, family owned and they have a dedicated team of 2 vets and 7 nurses. Their team of nurses work between 2 of their practices situated close to one another so you must be comfortable with this. Two of the nurses are clinical coaches and can provide support to newly qualified nurses.
They conduct a friendly and caring approach to all their clients and patients. The practice is extremely well equipped with X-ray, Ultrasound, Electrocardiography Monitoring, In-House and External Laboratory for blood testing, Pet Dentistry and Microscopy.
The Role:
Ideally, the practice is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team on a permanent full-time basis, although hours could be flexible for the right candidate. A full-time RVN would work 39 hours per week, undertaking shifts of 8.30am - 4.30pm, 10.00am - 5.00pm, or 11.00 am -8.00 pm. There is a weekend rota of 1:5, working Saturday and Sunday between 10.00 am and 12.00 pm. There is no out of hours requirement for this role.
The Candidate:
The practice is seeking candidates with good all-around nursing skills. There will be some reception and admin work along with some surgical nursing and general nursing duties. They will consider candidates of all levels of experience as they can provide support to newly qualified nurses. The most important quality the ideal candidate would possess is the ability to fit in well with the existing team, and have a good team player mentality.
In return the practice can offer a competitive salary of between £20,000 to £24,000 depending on experience.
