Due to an exciting ongoing business expansion, our client is looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their practice in Edinburgh.

The role is full time will be shared across two locations in the Edinburgh area.

The Role:
Our client is looking to recruit a full-time veterinary surgeon ideally with 2 years post-graduation experience.

You will be working on average 40 hours a week with no OOH (as this is covered by an external provider) and weekends are on a rota basis.

First and foremost our client is looking for someone who has an excellent client manner and the ability to thoroughly and diligently communicate with pet owners in order to address all their expectations. You must be competent at delivering consistent preventative healthcare advice routinely to all who visit the surgery. You should be confident with elective surgeries and must be able to time manage effectively to get through the daily procedure list.

Working well with a team of experienced RVNs who are in charge of the smooth running of the practice is very important in completing the daily workload. Thorough discussions with clinical colleagues with regards to ongoing cases are a must for maintaining consistency of clinical care and high standards of client service. Protocol compliance is important and therefore the role requires a high level of attention to detail. Enthusiasm and good humour are essential and developing any areas of veterinary interest are strongly promoted.
