We are currently working with an established, independent accredited practice situated in a historic market town in the heart of Buckinghamshire. This practice which has a very low turnover of clinical staff is currently able to offer a small animal vet the great opportunity to join their fantastic team.
The Practice:
The practice is an established, independent, accredited 9 vet RCVS Veterinary Hospital with 4 local branch surgeries, all within a few minutes’ drive of the hospital, which was purpose-built in 2009.
They are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment including but not limited to 3 operating theatres, in-house laboratory, radiology, ultrasound, and orthopaedic equipment.
The successful applicant will undertake their routine consult at one of our branches, which gives true local care and allows their vets to develop strong relationships with their clients and their pets and follow up their own surgical cases at the hospital to ensure continuity of care. They offer all routine and advanced orthopaedic surgery (e.g. TTA) and have their own dedicated lab with specialist lab technicians to ensure they can start treatment as quickly as possible.
The Role:
This is a permanent full-time position working on a varied rota between 8.30am- 6.30pm with 1:8 weekends & 1:5 Out of Hours during the week.
The Candidate:
The client will consider candidates of varying levels of experience, but the ideal candidate will have some UK veterinary experience, excellent communication skills, some surgical interest, and the confidence to work out of hours. They will be keen to work to 10-minute consults and a varying caseload which they will be able to follow through. They will be encouraged and provided with a very supportive environment in which to continuously develop themselves.

Out of Hours: 1:5 during the week
Sole Charge: Some at branch
Start Date: December 2017/January 2018
Salary: Competitive £32,000 upwards dependent on skills and experience + mileage allowance + RCVS+ BVA + CPD
To qualify for this position you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
