An established friendly, relaxed and patient-focused veterinary practice in Kirklees, West Yorkshire is looking for an enthusiastic, confident full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Practice:
The practice was established in the early 2000s and is an independent first opinion practice providing a high standard of veterinary care to small animals and horses. They are an approved Veterinary Nurse training centre and an approved member of the Royal College Practice Standards Scheme. With X-ray facilities for same day diagnosis, Operating theatres, Laser Acupuncture, Computerised client and patient record system, Extensive Kennel facilities offering separate Cat and dog wards. You will be joining a team of 1 vet, 3 nurses 2 receptionists.
The Role:
This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, with a 1:2 weekend rota, after every weekend worked you receive the following Friday off so you can enjoy a long weekend. There will be some sole charge required so you must be comfortable.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be competent and confident in all basic skills and completed the Professional development phase. The practice will able to accept a new graduate providing they are confident and willing to do some sole charge, where they will be given routine appointments.

Salary: Salary between £32,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience
To qualify for this position you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
