We are currently recruiting on behalf of independent accredited veterinary practice based in the market town of Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire. They are currently looking to recruit a full time permanent small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.
The Client:
This is a delightful practice that is one of the only remaining privately-owned single branch veterinary practices in the area. Purpose-built by its founder in the early 1990’s it has undergone a few changes and many improvements to the facilities which mean that they are now accredited by the RCVS.
Their team which consists of 4 vets, 4 RVNs and 2 ANAs plus support staff is friendly and welcoming and their aim is to always provide the highest standard of treatment and tender loving care. Their modern facilities include digital radiography, ultrasound, in house laboratory and they are able to offer
allergy testing, complimentary therapies, nurse clinics and other services to their clients.
The Role:
This is a full time permanent small animal Veterinary Surgeon role working Monday to Friday 8.30-19.30 with a weekend rota of 1:3 Saturday mornings 9.00-14.00 which is sole charge. There are no OOHs as this is covered by Vets Now.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2/3 years’ experience in practice and would be able to hold their own having acquired confidence consulting and performing routine veterinary surgery. They will be hard-working, adaptable, willing to continue their ongoing development, happy to work as part of a team and capable of delivering a caring customer based service to their clients and their pets.

Salary: Competitive in the region of £35,000 - £48,000 DOE + CPD + RCVS
