We are currently recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking, independent RCVS accredited practice based in Essex who is looking for a permanent small animal Veterinary Surgeon on a full-time basis.  This is a great opportunity to join a friendly and caring team who will provide support and encouragement.  Our client is willing to consider a New Graduate or a candidate with more experience.

The Practice:
The successful candidate would be working with a dedicated team of 8 vets, 14 nurses and 19 reception staff.  Their practice includes a busy 24-hour hospital which has recently been refurbished with modern surgical and diagnostic equipment plus two fully equipped branch surgeries in the area.   They pride themselves on high standards of patient and client care and have access to a top European Orthopaedic and Cardiology specialist who visits and works from this location.  

Alongside all the usual toys and equipment they are one of the few surgeries to offer keyhole spays.

The Role:
This is a permanent full-time post working 4 days per week on a varied rota - either 8.00 am - 5.30pm or 8.30am - 7.30pm or once a week the duty rota which is 10.00 am- 8.00 pm followed by on call until 8.00 am the next morning.  Weekends 1:2, 8.30 am - 1.00 pm on Saturday and 1:8 full duty weekend on call.

There will always be full back up available during the OOH provided by experienced members of staff. 

In return, our client is offering a desirable salary starting from £30,000 DOE + OOH bonus scheme + 25 days holiday + Bank holiday (time off in lieu for any bank holidays worked) + £1500 CPD + 5 days + cycle to work scheme + pension + short term accommodation available for relocation.

Summary:
