We are currently working with a very friendly independent practice that is situated in the historic county of Glamorgan in a part of Wales close to the south-west coast in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. Our client is currently looking to recruit a permanent small animal vet to join their caring team.
The Practice:
This is a forward-thinking, first opinion, independent practice with two branches in close commute of each other in the area. Their main aim is to provide a compassionate and understanding service to their clients and to help the pets in their care with safety and comfort plus peace of mind being of primary importance. The successful candidate would be joining a team of 3 vets, 3 RVNs, 2 SVNs, & 2 ANAs. In an emergency, they will do all that they can to help the pet in their fully functioning operating theatre. They provide emergency surgery, ultrasound procedures, X-rays, neutering and more.
The Role:
This is a full-time permanent small animal veterinary surgeon position working Monday to Friday 8.30 -18.30/19.00, 1:4 Saturday morning 8.30 – 13.00 – sole charge. No OOHs.
The Candidate:
This is a lovely practice that has the ‘hallmark’ of the ‘traditional’ about it. Set up by vets with a passion for caring and handling clients & their companion animals in their local community. Friendly and communicative and understanding of the people and pets they serve the staff at this practice always wish to go the extra mile and deliver an exceptional unpretentious service. The post would suit a new grad or a vet with 2-4 years’ experience. The client is willing to take on new ideas to grow the practice and in return will provide an environment for learning & personal development. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to work on their own initiative but also be very much part of the team.

Consult Times: 15 mins
Computer System: Evolution
Salary: Between £25,000-£35,000 DOE + CPD £1000 – 5 days – RCVS/BSAVA fees – holiday 4 weeks plus bank holidays
