Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Farm Large animal - Lewes, South East

Type: Large Animal, Farm

Location: Lewes

Practice: A large mixed practice with dedicated Small Animal, Farm, and Equine departments.

  • They are a proactive, progressive farm practice with a stimulating blend of dairy, beef, sheep, and smallholder work (plus sporadic pig, poultry, camelid, and gamebird work).
  • They also offer Flock Health Club, Beef Suckler Package, Beef AI service, DairyCo Mastitis control plan, bull and ram fertility testing, TotalVet dairy software, and Advanced Sheep Breeding services performing laparoscopic AI and Embryo Transfer.

Team: They have 8 farm veterinary surgeons, who are ably supported by 3 ATTs, 3 administration staff, and a dispensary team. They encourage Certificates and at present have a Cert CHP, a CertAVP, and a further CertAVP in progress. If you are an experienced vet with enthusiasm for farm work and the ability to work independently, they would love to hear from you.

Hours: Full-time, 8-hour shifts across 5 days a week, with on-call nights and weekends equally shared - At present, this is 1 in 7.

Applicant Requirements: The successful candidate should have a minimum of three years experience in practice 

Salary: Competitive salary of up to £70,000 p/a Depending on Experience
