Permanent Full or Part Time Veterianry Surgeon

We are currently working on behalf of a lovely independent practice, who are looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their 7 Vet team from mid-September. Either on a full time or part time basis

The Practice:

Established in 2000s, our client prides themselves on being passionate about animals. They strive to make personal and compassionate care their main goal, and each and member of their team treats patients as it they were their own.

The practice is an independent 100% small animal veterinary practice situated in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire who are currently recruiting for a permanent veterinary Surgeon to join their experienced team. They have a small, friendly team of 7 Vets, 6 Nurses and an excellent support team dedicated to providing the highest possible standards of care for your pets.

They have modern well equipped surgical facilities with piped gases, active waste scavenging, pulse oximetry and close patient monitoring and recording. They perform a wide range of surgical procedures from routine neutering to entropion eyelid surgery and some orthopaedic procedures. Our client has a new digital X-ray system giving excellent quality images. Other facilities include ultrasound, ECG, blood pressure monitoring, eye tonometry, dental scaling and polishing (including dental burs for rabbit incisors) and in-house laboratory services. The latter cover biochemistry, haematology, electrolytes and blood-gas analysis all available within minutes.


The Role:

Our client is looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. Our client are happy to consider either a new graduate Veterinary Surgeon or a Veterinary Surgeon with a high level of experience.

The role is full time, Monday - Friday on a rota basis between 8.30-21.00 with one day off mid-week. Saturday’s are between 1:2-1:3, 9.00-14.00, then you would either be on call on the Saturday or Sunday. There are no OOH requirements with this role as this is covered by Vetsnow.

In return, our client is offering a highly competitive salary DOE + 4 weeks holiday + Bank holidays + CPD

Type: Permanent small animal Veterinary Surgeon

Hours: 4 day week shifts 7 or 8 hours

OOH: None

WE: 1:2 rota either Sat 09:00-14:00, Sat 09:00-14:00 and then on call Sat or Sat 09:00-14:00 and then on call on Sun (full day off will be given during the week for the Sun on call)
