An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and confident Veterinary Surgeon to join a growing team in Dorchester. This practice is seeking a dedicated professional who is comfortable with routine neutering, procedures, and emergency and critical care. Although not for large portions of your overall rota, you will also need to be confident in periods of sole charge.
About the Team:
As a valued member of this team, you will work alongside the Clinical Lead and Practice Owner, as well as an experienced and forward-thinking nursing team and four incredible receptionists. The team is always looking for new ideas to develop the practice further and provide the best levels of clinical care and client service possible to their loyal and growing client base.
The Role:
The practice is committed to creating a rota and workplace that allows flexibility, enjoyment, and a place to thrive and grow both clinically and non-clinically.
Applications from full or part-time vets are welcome.
There is no out-of-hours requirement, and the practice is closed on Sundays, allowing everyone to make the most of every minute of life outside of work.
The days are structured with 15-minute consults as standard, and time taken for lunch and admin is also factored into the day.
The Benefits Package:
The practice is offering a competitive salary of £50,000 to £70,000 FTE, commensurate with experience. Other benefits include:
5.6 weeks of annual leave as standard (pro-rata for part-time)
Paid RCVS and VDS memberships, plus the opportunity to have one other membership paid
Life Assurance 4 x Annual Salary
Contributory Pension Scheme
Dedicated CPD allowance, including support towards Certificates
Relocation Allowance
Cycle to Work Scheme
Access to Colleague Assistance Programmes – Retail Trust, Port of Call, and MHFA
Exclusive company discounts and rewards through their reward hub
More About The Practice:
The clinic is purpose-built, featuring an operating theatre, two dedicated consult rooms, a nurse consult room/x-ray room, and all the essential equipment you'd expect from a solid GP practice. This includes a new digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab equipment, and full multi-parameter monitoring equipment. The practice is open to discussing investing in additional equipment in the future, depending on your areas of interest.
