​A dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon is sought to join a friendly and supportive practice located in Kidderminster. This practice is undergoing an exciting time of growth and offers an amazing opportunity to join its diverse team. The practice is committed to delivering exceptional care to patients and their owners, providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for small animals.

About the Practice:

The practice is well-established and modern, boasting state-of-the-art facilities and a strong team of veterinary professionals. The team has a long-standing presence in the practice, with members having progressed within their own veterinary careers whilst at the practice. The practice is also an approved training practice, open to considering new graduates to support them in kick-starting their careers.

About the Role:

The practice has a great relationship with the in-store team and an incredible client base with a varied and growing case load, including small furries, exotics, and dentistry. Consult times vary depending on individual style, and breaks, including an hour lunch break, are always included in the day. There is no out-of-hours requirement with this role, and appointments finish half an hour before closing to ensure the team can catch up and leave on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality medical and surgical care to a variety of small animal patients

  • Conduct thorough clinical examinations and diagnostic workups

  • Perform routine and complex surgeries

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering advice and follow-up care

  • Work closely with the veterinary team to deliver excellent care and share knowledge

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

What the Practice is Looking For:

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon

  • Strong clinical skills

  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently

  • Passion for delivering outstanding care and client communication

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

  • Enthusiastic, compassionate, and proactive approach to veterinary care

  • Flexibility to consider both full and part-time applicants. No OOHs required, minimum of 1:4 Saturdays (9 am-12 pm)
