An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon with a keen interest in dentistry to lead and develop a dedicated dental service within a well-established veterinary hospital.

Practice: This group veterinary practice, with over 40 years of experience, offers comprehensive pet care across six locations in West Yorkshire, including a 24-hour hospital. Their team of skilled veterinarians and support staff provide a range of services such as consultations, vaccinations, microchipping, dental care, and weight management. They also offer advanced procedures like laparoscopic surgery and laser therapy.
Hours: Full-time
- 4-day week
- 1:4 weekends with an extra day off following
- No out-of-hours commitments
Duties:
- This role will promote high-quality dental care, support the professional growth of veterinary nurses and fellow vets, and enhance client education in this specialized area.
- The position also offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of an evolving dental referral service.
- With a strong emphasis on professional development, further education, and certification in this field are fully supported.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the promotion of dental care and education within the practice.
- Provide mentorship and support to veterinary nurses and other vets.
- Perform high-quality dental procedures to an advanced standard.
- Assist in the growth and development of a dental referral service.
- Enhance client education on the importance of dental health.
