Locum Official Veterinarians (OV)
- Role: Locum Official Veterinarians (OV)
- Type: OCQ(V)-ES is essential, OCQ(V)-TT, and OCQ(V)-SS is desirable.
- It is now a field-based role so you must be happy with that and have Large Animal Experience
- Locations:
- There is availability across the UK - Please include your locations of interest when you submit your CV
- Hours of Work: It will be working Monday - Friday 7.5 hours a day between the hours of 6 am and 10 pm.
- Pay Rate: The rate of pay is £400 - £450 a day working through Umbrella ( It must be through Umbrella and we can help sort this)
- You need:
- Official Controls Qualifications (Veterinary) required: OCQ(V)-ES is essential, and the veterinarian must hold a valid accreditation upon application, and for the entire deployment period. OCQ(V)-TT and OCQ(V)-SS is desirable. Please ensure you include what qualifications you have on your application.
- Accommodation: The candidate will be expected to have a home location and accommodation at that location.
- Transport: The candidate will be expected to have access to a car that can be used for work purposes whilst working for APHA
- Security Checks: Veterinarians will be required to have a valid security clearance upon application. This is essential.
- Health Clearance: Veterinarians will be required to complete health screening questionnaires as required by the role and to have received satisfactory health clearance prior to the commencement of the Deployment Period. It is essential that the candidate can demonstrate that they are BCG vaccinated (to cover them for TB work) and also their Tetanus vaccination status. Rabies vaccination is also desirable.
