Permanent Emergency Critical Care Veterinary Surgeons - Singapore

Practice: This Hospital is a brand new state-of-the-art purpose-built facility that is proud to be the first Specialist and Emergency Hospital here in South Central Singapore. They are conveniently located off the MCE and there is ample parking as well as a convenient drop-off area right in front of the hospital.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Medical: (This is not an exhaustive list)
- Attend daily inpatient rounds at the start and end of the shift
- Consultations of day and night emergency patients
- Performing diagnostics
- Referring cases back to respective referral clinics where appropriate
- Perform TFAST and AFAST ultrasounds for emergency patients
- Create and recommend treatment plans for emergency patients
- Update patient information in medical records with the latest findings and treatments
- Order diagnostic tests (x-rays, blood tests, ultrasounds, endoscopies, CT scans) for cases when appropriate
- Review and interpret diagnostic test results
- Prescribe pharmaceuticals based on diagnostic results and physical exam findings
- Communicate with patient owners regarding their care and well-being
- Provide updates and discharge summaries to referring veterinarians
- Work with the specialty teams
- Assist with transfers to the appropriate specialists
- Referring cases back to respective referral clinics where appropriate
Hours: You will be required to report to work a rotation of 16 days a month which will be a combination of day and night shifts. There will be an equal distribution of day and night shifts allocated. Each shift will be a scheduled 12-hour shift. The shifts may fall on a weekend day depending on the roster.
Skills/Exp: Our client is looking for enthusiastic, motivated, and compassionate individuals to join their team of board-certified specialists, Emergency veterinarians, licensed veterinary nurses, veterinary assistants, and administrative teams.
Singapore Licence: The university/college where the candidate's DVM must be recognized by the Singapore vet board to obtain the Singapore vet Licence.
Salary: Salary dependent on experience, licensure, and educational background - $8000-$15000 per month -Singapore Dollar
