Facilities: Our client has a custom-built, fully-equipped equine hospital, located on the south side of Lanark, that has treated more than 2000 referral cases. They also offer an experienced ambulatory service, caring for all types of horses, ponies, and donkeys in most of central Scotland. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional service.

Team Info: Their team of 12 highly-trained vets, all of whom either have or are taking postgraduate training, are here to help horse owners 24/7.

Role: This is a fantastic opportunity for a role in leadership to grow and develop this RCVS-Accredited Equine Hospital

Hours: This role is ideally full-time; however, flexible working options will be considered. Occasional ambulatory work will be involved alongside participation in their OOH rota.

Candidate: Our client is looking for a passionate individual, ideally with a European Diploma (or equivalent) who is an enthusiastic team player, that has the surgical experience and proven ability in equine orthopaedics, to lead and manage this busy and growing equine hospital.

The ideal candidate will work in collaboration with the senior management team to:

  • Develop and support the equine department and the wider business.
  • Increase the internal and external equine clinical caseload.
  • Mentor and train the existing, excellent, and highly motivated clinical and non-clinical teams.
  • Help drive and shape the future development of their hospital including their exciting, planned extension.

Salary: Excellent salary of between £70,000 - £100,000 per annum DOE
