Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - North West Kent

Type: Small Animal

Location: North West Kent

Practice: Independent Seven Branch Practice Across Kent

Facilities: Their hospital is kitted out with state-of-the-art equipment, meaning you can gain experience with all of the latest toys and gadgets, from lasers to laparoscopy. If there’s anything they can’t cover in-house, they work with experts across the country both in practice and digitally to get second opinions. They encourage you to build knowledge both for yourself and for the group.

The Role: They are looking for RVNs to join them due to growth and expansion, which includes moving to a 4-day week!

Our client loves their vet nurses and is committed to training them and letting them do what they do best! They will give you an active role in the patient journey by enabling the nursing team to make the most of their qualification.

  • They empower their RVNs to take lead roles in preventative healthcare, delivering fantastic nurse consults, performing all radiography (including dental) scaling and polishing of teeth, schedule 3 procedures, and further study in any area they wish.
  • On top of that they offer great career progression and diversification, with opportunities for clinical coaching, and even to lead one of their fantastic sites across Kent.

Hours: The working schedule consists of 32 hours per week, plus site dependent may include shared responsibility for covering Saturday mornings or nominal on-call backup cover at weekends and bank holidays.

OOHS: No out-of-hours – unless you specifically request an Emergency Critical Care role

Skills/Exp: They welcome nurses of all skill levels and band salaries in a way that reflects what you bring to the business, not simply based on how long you have been qualified (£26k-31k). They have an active number of clinical coaches and mentors so they can help you achieve your career goals and aspirations.

Salary: The salary on offer is reflective of skills and experience.

Benefits: On top of that, they offer a generous package of benefits, including the following:

  • Generous holiday allowance, plus an extra day for every year worked, up to eight
  • An unlimited CPD budget with time off to study
  • Special interests encouraged and funded
  • 1-2-1 coaching and mentoring program covering both clinical and business skills
  • Leadership management program
  • Pension scheme and RCVS membership fees paid plus an additional membership to a group of your choosing
  • Team Pet Health Club for your pets
  • Eyecare vouchers and flu jab
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Practice social events
  • Internal recognition scheme
