A well-established veterinary group in the Teeside area is seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its expanding team. With four branches, the largest being in Hartlepool, the group has a loyal, friendly, and approachable team committed to providing the best care and creating an enjoyable work environment.
The Job Description:
The role offers a competitive salary of up to £30,000 pro rata.
Working hours can be full-time 08:00-19:00, 4 days a week, or part-time, with a share of the Saturday rota.
The practice does not operate on Sundays or bank holidays.
Responsibilities:
Observe and monitor the health of animals
Prepare equipment to treat animals
Perform procedures to diagnose animal disease and injuries
Prepare medicine and handle treatment for animals
Care for and clean up after animals
Communicate with clients about the status of their animals
Act as a clinical coach to Student Veterinary Nurses
The Candidate:
The role involves a variety of tasks, including nurse consultations, theatre work, and some schedule 3 procedures if desired. The practice is looking for an experienced RVN who is motivated, has a strong work ethic, and is keen to build rapport with long-standing clients. The successful candidate will also be expected to act as a clinical coach to Student Veterinary Nurses, either immediately or in the future.
More About The Practice:
The practice is equipped with new blood machines, ultrasound, digital X-rays, including dental X-rays, and performs both simple and more advanced procedures such as orthopaedic surgery. As part of its exciting plans, the practice is considering a move to a new CT machine later this year and is working towards achieving cat-friendly status. The practice is also growing its exotic patients.
