RVN - Out of hours- Hampshire Ringwood

Type: Small Animal

Location: New Forest National Park area of Hampshire

Practice: Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists is a multidisciplinary referral centre, providing a variety of interesting cases and opportunity to improve your skills. The practice has in the region of 80 nurses across the hospital, the wards team includes day, twilight and night nurses supported by VCAs.

Duties: You will be required to both admit patients, discuss their upcoming procedures, and support the client with patient care plans at the discharge appointment, explaining medication and rehab techniques whilst answering questions relating to the patient’s treatment whilst in the hospital.  

Role: opportunity for a registered veterinary nurse who has an empathetic approach to patient care and exceptional client communication skills. 

Hours: This is a part-time position of 3 days per week, working 7am-6:30pm Wednesday to Friday, plus 1:4 Saturdays 7am-4pm, which averages 35hrs/week overall. 

Applicant RequirementsThey are looking for a dynamic individual with high attention to detail and an empathetic approach to patient care. You should possess the confidence to take initiative and actively contribute to the care of their patients. Previous experience in a referral practice is beneficial. 

Salary: In addition to a competitive base salary starting from £26,000 per annum (based on a 35hr working week)
